September Goals.

Untitled design (9)I can’t remember the last time I sat down and wrote a blog post, these last few months have honestly been quite boring with the occasional event here and there I haven’t had much to blog about. With my last year of university just around the corner, I was inspired to start writing again, and what a better way to start than with my goals for the month of September.

My phone does not own me.

If you’ve been following me on Instagram you’ll have noticed I’ve taken a break from posting for a while, after my last holiday in Greece I felt like I needed a break from the pressure of posting on social media (first world problems I know) and start just enjoying things without worrying about getting pictures for ‘the gram’. Although social media is my job I know that there is a fine line between me owning my phone and my phone owning me.

Worrying gives you wrinkles.

This is probably an old wife’s tale but I do need to stop worrying less in general, I tend to fixate on small little things and blow them way out of proportion only to eventually realise I was making a mountain out of a molehill. My goal for this September is to not get stressed by university work but to organise my time carefully so that my work gets done gradually rather than all at once.

My mind is just as important as my body.

If you didn’t know me and you observed my life for a day you would probably get the impression I’m high maintenance, this is all a matter of opinion but I don’t see myself in that way. My theory is that I’m taking care of my outside ‘shell’ and in return, it helps my mind and body feel better. I know that certain makeup looks make my eyes look beautiful, I know what clothes suit my body and make me feel the most confident. Sometimes I do just get so caught up in keeping my outside looking nice I forget to work on my mind and mental health, my goal is to keep them both 50/50.

These are my main goals this month! I’m really looking forward to going back to uni and starting a new routine.

What’s everyone else’s September goals or plans? Let me know in the comments below.
