I don’t whether it’s been getting a routine back or going back to university but I’ve fallen in love with blogging again and creating content. If you’ve been following my blog for a while you’ll have seen my goodbye for now blog post all about me wanting to take a break from blogging and focus on myself and my university work for a while, as well as that I was also feeling super uninspired. Everything I wrote I didn’t like, I wasn’t loving any of the pictures we took and blogging had just become more of a chore than a hobby.
I’ve been doing this for a while now, almost 5 years. It’s never been more than a hobby and just something I’ve done alongside college/ university, but in recent months my work has started to be noticed by some brands/ companies and I feel like I’m finally starting to grow. I’ve always been a creative person, ever since I can remember I’ve loved making up my own stories, painting or creating very short and not very good songs in my songbook. Even now at university, I do so much better at creative projects than in very academic ones, I just love being able to show some kind of story in such an interesting way and not just through words.
So many people will tell you things like ‘take it easy’ or ‘take a break’ and yes, it is important to take a break sometimes, but by me not writing I almost felt worse not having somewhere to express myself and just be creative. There is no doubt in my mind that this is something other bloggers in the industry feel like every now and again personally for me it was about just taking time to reflect on what I wanted out of university and how I was going to get there.
So with this new found creativity expect a new blog post each week and if you haven’t already please scroll to the bottom of this page and subscribe to my blog so you will receive an email each time a new post goes live, and while you’re down there why not hit that like button and leave a comments telling me what posts you want to see next, I hope you enjoyed this blog post and I’ll see you next week.
